Feeling More At Home

I have to say since the last time I shared my blog I've been running all over the place trying to meet new faces. Over the past two weeks I have managed to visit two churches, attend a Christmas gathering with the Aledo Advocats, go to mommy & me play dates and this past weekend we drove out to the Clark Botanical Gardens. Wow the gardens were amazing. Each weekend through December 18th they had ongoing holiday events at the gardens. The lights were beautiful. My boys loved the Polar Express that runs through a back portion of the property. We also got to see Santa in the beautiful chapel and of course one of his reindeer. It was such a nice event and a great place to take your family. The chilly night made it feel even more like the holidays. I also felt good supporting a local venue. I look forward to visiting the gardens in the spring when the flowers and trees are in full bloom. As we approach Christmas I can finally say I'm starting to feel like Parker County is our new home. I of course miss Corpus Christi especially my dear friends. It has been a struggle to start over. So far we have been blessed and look forward to our new adventures in 2011. Have a wonderful holiday season. May it be Merry & Bright!
